NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD said it is still searching for two males accused of striking a 19-year-old man in the East Village Sunday with a metal scooter that has already led to the arrest of a minor.
Police said the group of three males punched the victim in the face and struck him with a metal scooter, stabbing him several times in the back and shoulder during the incident at around 5:45 p.m. on East Third Street near Avenue C, as surveillance footage shows.
The group, wearing dark-colored clothing, fled on foot, authorities said. The victim was treated and released from NYC Health and Hospitals/Bellevue.
The department said a 14-year-old alleged attacker was arrested Monday and charged with assault.
