NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man suddenly shot and killed a man as the two walked down an alleyway in Queens over the weekend, horrific video released by police on Thursday shows.

The graphic video shows the two men casually walking down an alley off Grassmere Terrace, near New Haven Avenue, in Far Rockaway around 8:10 p.m. Saturday.
The gunman suddenly pulls a firearm out of his hoodie and shoots the victim in the head at point-blank range before running away, the video shows.

Police said the 26-year-old victim was shot multiple times and suffered gunshot wounds to the left side of his neck and head.
He was rushed by EMS to St. John's Episcopal Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, police said. He was later identified as Peter Panthier, of East New York, Brooklyn.

Police haven’t said what may have led to the execution-style shooting, and the relationship between the two men is not yet known.
Panthier's family told the Daily News he was an immigrant from the Caribbean island of Dominica, where he studied economics in college and worked as a teacher and at a warehouse to support his family. He was also a musician and part of an acting troupe, his family said.
He moved to the U.S. about a year and a half ago and doesn't have a criminal record, according to the report.
“He was a good man. If anything, he was too quiet. He was fighting depression,” his grandfather, Julian Dodds, said. “He went out about half past five. A car was waiting for him outside, and that’s the last we saw from him.”
