NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man accused of fatally shooting his mother inside a Manhattan housing complex Tuesday morning was arrested, officials said.
According to police, a 39-year-old woman was shot in the head at about 9:20 a.m. inside a building at the Lehman Houses located at East 108th Street near Park Avenue in East Harlem.

The woman was pronounced dead on scene after EMS responded for a report of a cardiac arrest, the FDNY said.
Neighbors told police the woman's 22-year-old son had shot her, sources told the Daily News.
The son fled after the shooting but was caught nearby after officers recognized him based on a description from a witness, the New York Post reports.
The son was captured near Madison and East 108th Street with a revolver in his possession the report adds.
He was not immediately charged and an investigation is ongoing.
