VIDEO: Man filmed leaving moving MTA bus through window
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A man was filmed exiting a moving MTA bus through a window in a viral TikTok video.
The clip, from Zeeshan Saroya's @princezee account, begins as the man attempts to climb out the bus' window as it zips down a Manhattan street. Two onlookers quickly jump to the man's aid and grab his arms in an attempt to keep him inside.
"Don't do that. Don't do that," one man says patiently, as he grabs the distressed man's wrist.
Other riders can be heard yelling to the bus operator to pull over.
The man then turns on the bystanders, spitting at them and attempting to bite them — at which point the bus came to a rolling stop and passengers let him fall down to the street.
Saroya told the New York Post the incident happened last Sunday on an M60 as it drove through Harlem. The man was set off when the bus apparently missed his stop, Saroya told the paper.
"It was nice to see New Yorkers try to help him out but then the guy flipped the script like, 'Screw you, get out of here,'" Saroya said.
A spokesperson for MTA told the Post the move was "dumb," "dangerous" and "disruptive.
