NEW YORK (WCBS 880) – A group of thieves on motorcycles surrounded a BMW driver and then broke his nose and carjacked him on an upper Manhattan street this week, police said and video shows.
The 23-year-old victim was driving a black BMW 328i on Riverside Drive, near Henshaw Street, in Inwood around 2:30 a.m. Sunday when the group surrounded his vehicle, according to police.
One of the motorcyclists took out a gun, pulled the man from the BMW and struck him in the face, police said.
Members of the group then snatched the man's neck chain before driving away with his BMW, according to police.

Video shows the moment the thieves pulled the man from the sedan and sped off with it.
The BMW was last seen headed southbound on Riverside Drive, police said.
The victim was transported to New York-Presbyterian Hospital with a laceration to his eye and a broken nose.
