NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A Brooklyn mural that features thousands of President Trump's alleged lies was vandalized with the words "Proud Boys" along with the message "stand by" its creators said Thursday.

According to Radio Free Brooklyn, the creators of the 50-foot-long installation titled "Wall of Lies" which features more than 20,000 "false or misleading" claims made by President Donald Trump, and fact-checked by the Washington Post had graffiti with the phrase "Stand Back and Stand By" a phrase which was said by the president during the last presidential debate.

The slogan "Vote Trump or Die" was also spray-painted on the wall.

"When I saw it, my heart sank. I felt sick about it," Tom Tenney, 55, the station's executive director, told the New York Post. "I felt profoundly disappointed — immediately followed by rage and determination."

The entire mural was painted on Grattan Street and Morgan Avenue in Bushwaick with comments in chronological order, now needs to be reprinted, Tenney adds.

GoFundme page was created to rebuild the wall, and possibly move it to a new location or hire a security guard, Tenney said.

"We knew it could be a lightning rod," he added. "But we feel very strongly that we should not back down to bullies."

As of Thursday afternoon the Proud Boys had not claimed responsibility for the mural's vandalism.
