Christopher Pesavento, 50, reportedly barricaded himself in his home on Quaker Bridge Road just after noon on Wednesday after police responded to reports of a shooting at the property.
State Police and Westchester County Police sent officers, hostage negotiators and a SWAT team to the scene.
For the next 12 hours, authorities tried to negotiate with Pesavento as he periodically fired shots at them, police said.
No one was hit directly, but two members of Westchester’s SWAT Team were struck by bullet fragments and suffered minor injuries.
One was treated on the scene for an arm injury and the other was brought to Westchester Medical Center with a leg wound.
State and county police said they never returned fire at Pesavento, but determined he was dead just after midnight.
The cause of death will be determined by the Westchester County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Ongoing investigations into the incident are being carried out by the New York Attorney General’s Office and state police.
