NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A garbage truck driver fatally struck a 19-year-old woman on a Queens street on Sunday night, police said.
The victim was struck and killed just before midnight at 62nd Street and Roosevelt Avenue in Woodside.
Citizen App video shows the private sanitation truck parked beside the crosswalk as police investigate.
According to police, the victim was crossing 62nd Street when the driver hit her while making a turn from Roosevelt Avenue. The driver remained at the scene, police said.
The victim was identified as Nishath Jannath, of Woodside. She was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.
No arrests have been reported as the investigation continues.
