NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 20-year-old woman was hospitalized after being shot in the neck outside a Target at a Staten Island shopping center Friday morning, authorities said.
The incident occurred at approximately 7:35 a.m. in the vicinity of 2873 Richmond Ave. in Heartland Village, police said.
The victim was struck once in the back of the neck and was rushed to Northwell Staten Island University Hospital where she is currently in stable condition, officials said.
The gunman, who was last seen wearing all-black clothing, fled the scene on a motorcycle that lacked a license plate, according to the NYPD.
The investigation is ongoing.
