NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – Police released a photo of a woman Wednesday in connection to a Queens subway robbery last month in which a woman was punched in the face.
The suspect began punching a 25-year-old woman in the face while attempting to steal her purse on Feb. 23, around 1:30 a.m., inside the Steinway Street station in Astoria, according to the police.
The victim was attacked just after exiting a northbound E train, police said.
After the incident, the suspect boarded the northbound E train and managed to escape.
The victim declined medical attention.
The suspect was last seen wearing a dark-colored long coat, white sneakers, and a multi-colored backpack, according to the police.
