Woman, 29, dead after being stabbed in the neck at Bronx deli

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A woman is dead after she was stabbed multiple times inside a Bronx deli on Thursday afternoon, and police are searching for the culprit.

Police responded to 549 Southern Blvd.—a deli in Longwood located steps away from the East 149th Street subway station—at about 3:15 p.m. after receiving reports of a woman attacked.

The 29-year-old victim was found with stab wounds to the neck and torso, police said. She was identified as Gwendolyn Guyton, of the Bronx.

There have been no arrests, but police are searching for a woman who fled on a bike or scooter.

The circumstances that led to the killing were not immediately clear.

The investigation is ongoing.
