VIDEO: Woman, 60, pushed to ground in knifepoint robbery in Queens, suspect sought

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is searching for a man wanted for stealing a woman's purse at knifepoint on a Queens street last week, authorities said.

The robbery happened at approximately 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 13, a 60-year-old woman was walking eastbound on 90th Road approaching 80th Street in Woodhaven, officials said.

According to police, the suspect approached the woman from behind, displayed a knife and forcibly stole her purse.

The suspect then fled the location on foot heading westbound on 90th Road, cops said.

The stolen purse contained the victim's cellphone and $100 cash.

During the incident the victim was pushed to the ground, sustaining an injury to her elbow.

She was transported to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in stable condition.

The suspect was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a light-colored face mask, gray pants and black and white sneakers.
