NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 65-year-old woman was hospitalized after being pushed onto the subway tracks in the Bronx on Thursday, authorities said.
It happened at approximately 1:40 p.m. on the northbound 5 train platform at the East 180th Street station in Van Nest.
According to officials, the suspect approached the victim and pushed her directly onto the tracks.
The woman did not make contact with a train or the third rail and FDNY assisted her back onto the platform, where she was evaluated by EMS before being transported to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition.
No arrests have been made at this time, and the investigation remains ongoing.
