NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A pair of thieves slashed a 69-year-old woman's arm while stealing her bag on a Queens subway platform last week, the NYPD said Thursday.

The woman was standing on a platform inside the 69th Street— Fisk Avenue 7 train station in Woodside around 9 p.m. on Sept. 24 when a man and another woman approached her and demanded her bag, police said.

When the 69-year-old refused, the pair used a sharp object to force the bag away from her, leaving her with cuts on her arm, the NYPD said.

The two thieves fled the subway station after the attack, police said. The woman was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst in stable condition, according to police.
