NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A 71-year-old woman was critically injured after he was struck by a car on the Upper East Side Thursday morning, authorities said.
It happened just after 6:30 a.m. on the corner of York Avenue and East 68th Street, officials said.
The driver remained at the scene and no criminality is suspected.
The victim was rushed to New York-Presbyterian / Weill Cornell Medical Center in critical condition.
Police initially said a 40-year-old man was the victim but later clarified the details.
