NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A 73-year-old woman was repeatedly punched and robbed on a Downtown Brooklyn street by a young woman who stole her pocketbook, police said Tuesday as they released a photo of the suspect.

The victim was walking on Nevins Street, between Livingston Street and Flatbush Avenue, at 9:25 p.m. last Friday when her attacker came up and started pummeling her, according to cops.


The suspect punched the victim repeatedly in her face and body before stealing her pocketbook and fleeing on foot, police said.

The victim suffered multiple cuts and substantial pain to her face but is expected to recover.

The suspect was last seen running north towards Flatbush Avenue.
