NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD is searching for the driver of an SUV after a 75-year-old woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Sunset Park over the weekend.
The incident occurred around 9:35 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, at the intersection of 7th Avenue and 41st Street. According to police, Judith Byron was crossing 7th Avenue in the crosswalk with a walk signal when she was struck by a northbound silver SUV, whose driver ran a red light.
The SUV did not stop and fled the scene, officials said.
