NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – An 86-year-old woman died in a Queens house fire late Tuesday night, fire officials said.
The fire broke out on 66th Avenue just before 11 p.m. Tuesday in Rego Park, authorities said.
The woman, identified by police as Rosemary Monoco, was found dead inside the home.
A 54-year-old man was transported to an area hospital for smoke inhalation.
The victims are mother and son, sources told PIX11.
Two firefighters were also injured in the fire.
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
