
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 95-year-old woman attacked and killed another older adult at a nursing home in Coney Island on Sunday night, sources told 1010 WINS.
It happened at the Seagate Rehabilitation and Nursing Center located at 3015 West 29th St., police said.
When officers responded to the center just before 10:30 p.m., they were told that an 89-year-old woman had been found with head trauma. She was rushed to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn where she was pronounced dead, officials said.
Sources familiar with the case said that the 95-year-old suspect struck the octogenarian with a heavy metal object after an argument, killing her.
1010 WINS reached out to Seagate Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for comment.
Police have not yet released the names of the victim nor suspect.
There have been no arrests and an investigation is ongoing.
