SUFFOLK COUNTY, N.Y. (1010 WINS) — A long-term investigation by the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Fentanyl Task Force led to the indictment of 21 people on various drug charges for their alleged participation in trafficking fentanyl, cocaine and heroin throughout Long Island.
Larell Campbell, 32, and Carlos Torres, 42, are accused of trafficking narcotics, allegedly supplying large-scale amounts of drugs to dealers throughout Suffolk and Nassau counties.
Many of their customers had their own distribution networks, like 46-year-old Carolyn Tolin, who is charged with operating as a major trafficker for allegedly running a narcotics business over the dark web and out of her garage in Centereach. She used the United States Postal Service, UPS and Uber to ship drugs across the country in exchange for cryptocurrency payments.

On May 14, 2025, law enforcement executed a search warrant at Tolin’s home, recovering hundreds of grams of fentanyl, heroin and cocaine, as well as multiple computers, cellphones, packages in the process of being prepared for shipment, packaging materials, overdose warning cards, Xylazine test strips and a digital scale.
The overdose warning cards were a staple of her packaging, and Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney asked anyone who has seen Tolin’s warning flyer to contact the district attorney’s office.
“This case is notable because of the online dark web sale of deadly drugs all over the United States,” Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney said. “We are asking for the public’s help. We believe that these deadly drugs were sent all over the country.”

Campbell is also charged as operating as a major trafficker for allegedly possessing over $75,000 in cocaine, fentanyl and heroin between June and December 2024.
According to prosecutors, Campbell’s large-scale operation was run by members of his immediate family, who are accused of working to redistribute and transport Campbell’s product, supply payments and handle transactions under his direction.
Law enforcement executed search warrants at multiple Long Island residences associated with the Campbell family in December 2024 and discovered about two kilograms of cocaine, 1.5 kilograms of heroin mixed with fentanyl and 250 grams of fentanyl.
Twenty of the 21 defendants have been arrested, 12 have been arraigned and eight are charged with bail eligible offenses.
