NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police arrested a 47-year-old Florida woman for a hate crime assault last week in which she allegedly pepper sprayed four women while spewing anti-Asian hate speech, authorities announced Saturday.
Madeline Barker from Merritt Island, Florida faces charges for attempted hate-crime assault, hate-crime assault, and hate-crime harassment.
She pepper sprayed four women during an argument on June 11 around 6 p.m. at the intersection of 14th Street and 9th Avenue in the Meatpacking District, according to police.
The victims all refused medical attention at the scene
