NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A Manhattan woman has been arrested for spitting on a man in a homophobic attack earlier this summer in Yorkville, police announced Tuesday.
Elaine Grossman, 49, of Yorkville, allegedly approached a 34-year-old man on the 1700 block of 2nd Avenue and attempted to yank his mask from his neck as she made anti-gay comments, police said.
Grossman then allegedly spat on the man and threw her bag at him before fleeing the scene.
She has been charged with a hate crime for aggravated harassment.
