NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – The NYPD's Hate Crimes Task Force released footage on Friday of an unidentified woman who police said called a man and his young son "terrorists" while throwing hot coffee at them in Brooklyn.

The suspect approached the man, wearing a Palestinian scarf, and his young son at the Edmonds Playground near DeKalb Avenue in Fort Greene at around 12:30 p.m. Monday.

The assailant then made anti-Muslim statements, telling them "You and your son are terrorists," police told the Daily News.

She then threw a cellphone and a hot cup of coffee at them, according to cops.

The child was not harmed during the incident.

The attacker, described as a light-complexioned female with a small build, was last seen wearing a black and white baseball hat, sunglasses, a gray scarf, and a black zip-up jacket.

She fled the scene shortly after the attack.

The victim, 40, recorded the incident on video, which the NYPD has since released.

An investigation is ongoing.
