NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – The NYPD is searching for a suspect after a woman was bashed in the face with a high-heeled shoe at the Grimaldi's offshoot in the Flatiron District.
Police released an image Friday of the suspect wanted in the Sunday, Sept. 24. assault at the legendary pizzeria's location at West 20th Street and Sixth Avenue.
The circumstances surrounding the assault aren't clear, but the 23-year-old victim was inside the restaurant at 4 a.m. when her attacker struck her in the nose with the heel cap of a high-heeled shoe.
The suspect fled the scene on foot before EMS arrived and transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue.
She suffered a laceration to her nose and was hospitalized in stable condition.
