NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — An MTA worker was beaten with a walker while clearing out a train inside a Queens subway station early Thursday morning, police said.

It happened on the southbound A platform in the Howard Beach-JFK Airport subway station at about 2:40 a.m.

A 58-year-old woman got mad at the employee while he cleared out the train and allegedly struck him with her walker, police said.

He was taken to an area hospital with pain and swelling, officials said,

Police charged the woman with assault.
