NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A woman in her 20s is dead after being struck by both a hit-and-run driver and an MTA bus on the Upper East Side Thursday night, authorities said.
The victim was at East 97th Street and Third Avenue around 6:15 p.m. when she was struck by a black vehicle that fled the scene, police said.
Shortly after, an MTA bus headed in the same direction also hit the woman, according to officials.

The woman was transported to St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The MTA bus remained on the scene but the black vehicle drove off. Cops are searching for the vehicle. The investigation remains ongoing.
