NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police officers found a woman dead under a vehicle in Queens on Monday morning, and recovered a knife near her body, the NYPD said.
Officers responding to a 911 call found the woman lying on the pavement under a vehicle parked near Brown Place and 58th Road in Maspeth around 8:49 a.m., the department said.
The woman, who appeared to be in her 30s or 40s, was bleeding from the face, police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police officers found a knife not far from the vehicle, the NYPD said.
The department didn't immediately release the woman's name or age. The city's Medical Examiner will determine how she died.
An investigation is ongoing.
