NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — A woman is in critical condition following a shooting in the Morrisania section of the Bronx on Thursday afternoon, and police are investigating.
It happened in front of 1397 Franklin Ave., a bodega occupying the corner of East 170th Street, just before 4 p.m.
Police said that the victim was shot in the shoulder, and she was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital in critical condition.
The 35-year-old victim was sitting on the corner with friends when the gunfire erupted, according to ABC7, who obtained surveillance video of the shooting.
The investigation is ongoing.
