NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A woman was injured as she tried to stop a trio of robbers from breaking into a West Village business in the middle of the morning, police said Monday.
The NYPD released images of the three suspects they're searching for in the Oct. 19 robbery at 152 Seventh Ave. South, near Perry Street.
The 18-year-old victim, an employee of the shop, was locking the door at 10:45 a.m. when the robbers forced their way inside in broad daylight.

Police said the victim tried to hold the doors shut to keep them from entering, but they were able to overwhelm her.
They stole various merchandise from behind the counter and fled the area.
The store appears to be a recently opened smoke shop, with at least some of the stolen products related to cannabis and vaping.

The victim suffered minor injuries to her arm while holding the door, according to police.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
