NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is searching for a suspect accused of kicking a woman down the escalator of a Brooklyn subway station last week, according to officials.
The incident occurred at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday, September 9, on an escalator at the Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center Station, authorities said.
According to police, the 32-year-old victim had a verbal exchange with the suspect that escalated when he kicked the victim in her chest, which caused her to fall several feet down the escalator.
The victim suffered cuts and bruises to her back, arms, legs, right knee, and right thigh and trauma to her left ankle, however, the NYPD said.
She refused medical attention at the scene.
The suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction.
Police release a video clip on Sunday night that shows the suspect exiting the turnstile at the station shortly before the incident.
Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
