NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A 66-year old woman pushing a stroller with a toddler inside was killed in Brooklyn Tuesday afternoon after she was struck by a pickup truck, police said.

The two-year-old girl suffered scrapes and bruises, and is in the hospital in stable condition.

The woman was taken to NYU Langone Hospital Brooklyn (formerly NYU Lutheran Medical Center), where she was pronounced dead.

The incident took place shortly after 1 p.m. at 25th Avenue and Bath Avenue in Bath Beach.

The 2002 Ram pickup was making a left turn on Bath Avenue before striking the woman and the girl -- whose relationship is unclear -- in the crosswalk.

The driver, 56, stayed at the scene. No charges were immediately filed.
