NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man raped a woman near Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village on Thursday night, police said.
The man attacked the 22-year-old shortly after 10 p.m. near Bleecker and Sullivan streets, a couple blocks south of the park.
The suspect, who was not known to the woman, fled the area after the sexual assault. He was wearing a white t-shirt and white pants, according to police.
The woman was treated at the scene, police said.
No arrests had been reported as of Friday.
