NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- One vendor slashed another in Central Park on Tuesday afternoon—part of an ongoing dispute between the two women, sources said Wednesday.

The victim, a 24-year-old woman, suffered slash wounds to her neck, hand and leg in the attack around 1:30 p.m. at Center Drive at 61st Street.

The brazen assault happened as the park was packed with people on a March day when temps tied the record high of 79 degrees.

According to sources, the two women had been clashing for over territory in the park when the dispute finally boiled over Tuesday and one repeatedly slashed the other.

Police said the suspect fled towards the Heckscher Ballfields with her husband and son. The search continued for her Wednesday.
