NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A woman was stabbed while riding the subway in Queens on Monday, and police are searching for the assailant.
Officers responded to the Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Avenue subway station in Jackson Heights at around 2:20 p.m. after receiving reports of a person stabbed.
Upon arrival, the officers discovered the 31-year-old victim with a stab wound to her hand and neck.
It appears she was riding a northbound E train when she was attacked by an unidentified suspect, police said.
The stabber fled the location, and the victim was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst, where she's expected to recover.
There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
