Woman struck by train at World Trade Center Cortlandt subway station

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A woman was struck by a train at the World Trade Center Cortlandt station on Friday, according to police.

Emergency responders rushed her to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue with serious injuries after she was hit just after 5:30 p.m., officials said.

Police said it is unlikely she will survive.

The MTA announced an interruption to service on 1, 2 and 3 trains due to the accident at 6:52 p.m.

A minute later, officials said 1 trains were running as normal and that 2 and 3 trains were running express from Chambers Street to 34th Street-Penn Station.

Authorities said the woman is in her 30s, but did not identify her further.
