NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Police are searching for a woman who sucker punched a 16-year-old girl in an unprovoked attack inside the Union Square subway station this month.

The NYPD released video footage Wednesday of the suspect, who’s seen rolling a suitcase through the station around the time of the attack on the morning of Jan. 7.

The teen victim was on a platform of the station just before 7 a.m. when the woman walked up and slugged her in the face with a closed fist for no reason, police said.

The teen suffered redness to her left eye and was treated at the scene by EMS.

The woman walked away from the scene and remains at large.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
