NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A woman and a teen boy were shot and wounded in Brooklyn on Tuesday evening, police said, with at least one of the victims believed to be a bystander.
The victims, ages 32 and 15, were shot just after 7 p.m. at 110 Chauncey St. in Bedford-Stuyvesant during the reported drive-by shooting.
The woman was grazed in the chest by a bullet, while the boy was shot in the ankle, police said.
She was able to walk to Maimonides Medical Center to get treatment.
He was transported by EMS to the same hospital in stable condition.
Police believe the woman was a bystander and are still trying to determine if the boy was targeted.
No arrests have been made, but police are reportedly searching for a gray Volvo that sped from the scene.
