NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Police released photos on Friday of a woman in connection with punching a woman after making anti-Asian statements toward her last month in Midtown Manhattan.
The attack happened on Jan. 16 at around 8 p.m. while on a southbound 1 train nearing the 59th Street–Columbus Circle subway station, police said.
The victim, a 54-year-old woman, was approached by an unidentified woman who made anti-Asian statements toward her, according to police.
The suspect then punched the victim in the head, police said.
The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The suspect fled the 59th Street subway station on foot to an unknown location.
