NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Police are searching for a woman behind a hate-fueled attack on a subway train in Long Island City last week.
The NYPD released an image Tuesday of the suspect they’re after in the April 16 attack at Queens Plaza.
The victim, a 29-year-old woman, was aboard a northbound R train approaching the station just before 7 p.m. when the suspect “sat across from her and started calling her racial slurs,” police said.
The insults were anti-Asian in nature, with the woman allegedly calling the victim a “Chinese b***h” at one point, a law enforcement source told the LIC Post.
The attacker then kicked the victim multiple times in her legs before exiting the train at Queens Plaza, police said.
The victim suffered minor injuries and declined further medical attention at the scene, according to cops.
The NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force is investigating the assault.
