NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD released pictures on Wednesday of two women believed to be behind a pattern of robberies targeting men who met them on a dating app in Brooklyn in July.

According to police, the victims met two women from a dating app. The women accompanied the victims to their apartments before two masked men, sometimes armed, emerged to rob them.

The first incident took place just before 10 p.m. on July 22, at 389 Morgan Ave. in Williamsburg. A 27-year-old man was with the two women on the fifth floor when two masked men confronted him. One of the men brandished a gun while the other punched the victim. They then stole his keys and fled in his black 2024 Mercedes-Benz.

The second robbery occurred a week later at approximately 2 a.m. on July 29, at 30 Debevoise Ave. A 36-year-old man met with two women from a dating app and took them up to his fifth floor apartment where, two masked men with knives punched and kicked him before stealing his iPhone 12 mini.

All four individuals fled on foot.

The victims suffered minor injuries.
