SYOSSET, N.Y. (1010 WINS) – A bicyclist was killed on Long Island over the weekend when he crashed into a parked tractor trailer, Nassau County police said Tuesday.

Chalermchai Losirisup, 51, of Great Neck, was pronounced dead at the scene following the crash around 9 a.m. Saturday in Syosset.

According to police, he was riding a bicycle eastbound on the Long Island Expressway South Service Road when he hit the tractor trailer between exits 43 and 44, near Woodbury Road.

It’s unclear if the truck’s driver was present during the crash, but police said the truck was legally parked at the time and that no criminality is suspected.

No other injuries were reported.
