Man, 55, fatally stabbed over stolen phone in NJ; suspect at large: officials

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (WCBS 880) — A 55-year-old man was fatally stabbed allegedly over a stolen phone on Monday morning in New Brunswick, according to the Middlesex Prosecutor's Office.

Rogelio Lopez-Lopez, 55, was found by police with multiple stab wounds around 3:55 a.m.

He was later taken to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The alleged perpetrator, Adan Santiago-Feria, been charged with murder, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon and terroristic threats.

He remained at large as of Monday morning, officials said.
