NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — An 18-year-old Long Island man has been indicted on attempted murder charges after allegedly shooting two teen boys outside of Congressman Lee Zeldin’s home in October.
The Shirley resident, Noah Green, is one of 18 people charged in connection with the “No Fake Love” gang, according to officials.
“I am very grateful to Suffolk County law enforcement and DA Ray Tierney for their efforts to not only solve the case of the shooting outside my family’s home and holding the shooter accountable, but indicting 18 gang members in total,” said Zeldin. “Their efforts and dedication to the rule of law will go a long way towards making our communities safer for all law-abiding New Yorkers.”
At the time of the Oct. 9 shooting, Zeldin’s 16-year-old twin daughters, Mikayla and Arianna, were inside of their home.
The teens heard gunshots and screaming outside at which point they ran upstairs and locked themselves in the bathroom before calling 911.
Two 17-year-old boys were shot in the chest during the altercation. One of the bullets landed only 30 feet from where the girls were sitting.
Green faces up to 25 years in prison if convicted.
