
FAIRLAWN, N.J. (1010 WINS) — Police arrested a man in connection to a unlicensed dentistry and sexual assault investigation in New Jersey earlier this week, prosecutors announced Friday.
On Monday, Oct. 14, Fairfield police officers responded to a reported sexual assault at 363 Route 46 in Fairfield.
Upon arrival, police encountered a woman who alleged that she was sexually assaulted by an man later identified as Jonathan Colombo, 31, of Orange Township.
The victim claimed she saw Colombo's social media accounts where he advertised that he could provide dental veneers at a discounted rate.
Colombo allegedly marketed himself on social media under the Instagram handles "newyoudental" and "newyousmiles," authorities said.
According to officials, after communicating with him over social media and agreeing to a price for the veneers, she made an appointment for Oct. 14, at his Fairfield office.
The victim alleged that after the dental procedure, she was sexually assaulted.
The ECPO and Fairfield Police Department arrested Colombo on Tuesday, Oct. 15, for practicing dentistry without a license.
The investigation remains ongoing.
