Laron Watts, 22, was set to be arraigned Wednesday at First District Court in Hempstead on a second-degree murder charge in the death of Jaden Omaree Johnson on June 4.
Nassau County police said the shooting happened at 10:10 p.m. near 77 Terrance Ave.
The teen was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:54 p.m.
The department said there were three men also wounded in the shooting, including a 23-year-old from Hempstead who was shot in the ankle, a 35-year-old from Westbury who was shot in the leg and a 31-year-old from Hempstead who was shot in the thigh. All three survived, police said.
Police did not say whether Watts, of Uniondale, is the alleged gunman behind all four victims or just Omaree Johnson.
