NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police arrested a man in connection to a fatal stabbing that occurred inside a Lower Manhattan subway station last October, officials said Friday.
Amado Garzon Morales, 29, a New Jersey resident, was arrested on Wednesday at a home in Richmond Hill by NYPD's Warrant Squad.
Morales allegedly stabbed 20-year-old Julio Cesar Cantero Hernandez "multiple times in the legs" on Oct. 4 on the northbound J/Z train platform in the Chambers Street station after a verbal argument escalated, police said.
Hernandez was transported to New York-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital, where he died, authorities said.
Morales was charged in the death of and faces a murder two charge, according to officials.
