Man killed by NJ train for the second time this week

BERNARDSVILLE, N.J. (1010 WINS) -- A 53-year old man was fatally struck by a train in Bernardsville on Saturday at around 2 p.m., according to police.

The train was on the Gladstone Branch of the Morris and Essex Line and had just left Basking Ridge toward Bernardsville when it hit the unidentified man, according to authorities.

Service was suspended between Stirling and Bernardsville all Saturday after the death.

This incident comes just three days after a different pedestrian was killed by a train on the Morris and Essex Line.
