Man seriously injured after being run over during Long Island road rage fight

WEST BABYLON, N.Y. (1010 WINS) — A man was seriously injured after a fight with another motorist on Long Island on Saturday evening resulted in him being run over, Suffolk County Police said.

The suspect and victim, 51, got into a road rage dispute at about 8:10 p.m. in West Babylon.

Police said that the men pulled over in a parking lot located at 90 Route 109, got out of their vehicles and a fight broke out.

The suspect eventually got back in his car, rammed the other man’s vehicle three times and then ran over the victim before fleeing the scene in his car.

The 51-year-old was taken to an area hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

An investigation is ongoing, and there have been no arrests.
