PATERSON, N.J. (1010 WINS) -- Officials are investigating after a 35-year-old man sleeping in a New Jersey apartment was struck by a stray bullet early Monday morning, according to a report from WABC-TV.
Officials said gunfire erupted at approximately 12:15 a.m. outside of a building located on East 23rd Street and Park Avenue in Paterson wounding the man while he was asleep.
Three cars were also struck by bullets, the outlet added.
The man was taken to a local hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made in the shooting, according to the report.
