NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) –A man was hit by an NJ Transit train at the New Brunswick station late Thursday night.
The accident happened around 10:29 p.m. when Northeast Corridor Train 3889, en route from New York Penn Station to Trenton, struck the man.
The train had left New York at 9:35 p.m. and was due to arrive in Trenton at 11:06 p.m.
The man was taken to a local hospital and is in critical condition.
A NJ transit spokesperson confirmed to NJ.com that no passengers or staff members on board the train were injured during the incident.
NJ Transit Police are investigating the accident.
